Popped Wheat Recipe
Popped Wheat Ingredients:
- 3 cups Lehi Roller Mills Hard Red Wheat
- 2 tablespoons of movie theater butter flavored oil (a variety of oils will also work)
- 1 cup sunflower seeds (optional)
Popped Wheat Directions:
Pour wheat into a Mason Jar and fill with water.
Put the lid on the Mason Jar and let sit for 3 hours to overnight.
Drain you wheat and pat dry.
Heat your oil to a medium to medium-high heat in a heavy bottom pan.
Add your wheat in small amounts until its golden brown (you should hear the wheat pop).
Remove the wheat and drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
Add seasoning and sunflower seeds and enjoy.
